Eastport is a stunning little park. I do not remember seeing a sign as to its ownership. Is it part of Massport? Boston Parks Department? Funny, little mention is made of that. The plant material is unlike any I have seen. We need more of these oases, especially in the Dallas of Boston. Franco Campanello, Boston

Sitting left of Perkin's Manor behind the granite wall and rusted gate looking across Jamaica Way towards Ward's Pond stood a haunted house built in the early 20th century. It was the early 1960's when us kids used it as a halloween base for egging cars before they built the 30 or so story red brick high-rise upper class housing.
